You may be hearing the term “Gathering of Friends” and be wondering what it is. The Gathering of Friends is an amazing night out for parents, parishioners, school faculty, and friends alike, all in the name of a good cause – raising much needed funds to support the programs and services that make our school and church the vibrant, spiritual, academic and wonderful community it is. Be prepared to be transported into a multi-dimensional illusion where rock royalty, and the purveyors of movie magic, both past and present, convene to celebrate and be merry. This year’s event will be held on Friday March 16, 2018 at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. The highlights of the evening include a cocktail hour, dinner and live and silent auctions. One of the nicest aspects of the evening is the camaraderie shared by parents, congregants and faculty.

This year you are in for a treat. We encourage you to join us dressed in costume as your favorite rock/music personality, a Hollywood star, a character or (with a group of friends) cast of characters from your favorite movie. However, it is not mandatory and you may choose to be “red carpet ready” and dress in festive cocktail attire as is our custom. You can be anything: be inspired, be glamorous, be stylish, be simple, be funny but most of all be our very special star guests at this year’s Rock Hollywood Costume Ball.

The Chapel School (TCS) has been serving a wonderfully diverse community of families in Westchester and the Bronx since 1947, including students from Bronxville, Eastchester, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Scarsdale, Tuckahoe, White Plains and Yonkers. Our goal is to provide academic challenge and excellence, as well as character education and opportunities for social, emotional and spiritual growth in the safest and most nurturing environment. TCS students experience a state-of-the-art curriculum complete with the integration of the latest technology, but TCS teachers maintain a balance between what is most current and tested, proven teaching methods.
